This system is essential for investigating new methods for continuous-variable quantum key distribution (CV-QKD). The software development included creating a custom kernel driver for the AMD/Xilinx XDMA IP Core to maximize its capabilities, which was crucial for real-time data transfers. This kernel driver facilitated a user-space application that directly moved data to and from the NVMe drive. In summary, the project involved the implementation of real-time data streaming across a system comprising: NVMe SSD drive – PCIe – nVidia Xavier – PCIe – Xilinx Kintex Ultrascale – JESD204B – 16-bit 1 GSample ADC/DAC.
