OUR STORY
In May 2018, Charly, a Systems Engineering student from Colombia interning in Amsterdam, joined Fleks Works, a startup focused on a ReactJS-based platform. Shortly before his arrival, the company's CTO resigned, creating a gap in expertise. Facing high European developer costs, Charly initiated an experiment to recruit experienced talent from Colombia. Despite initial challenges finding English-speaking candidates, they hired those with technical skills. This approach expanded the team from two to many, spurring new projects and the adoption of collaborative tools like SCRUM and GitLab. The growing team and operational needs led to opening an office in the Netherlands, culminating in the establishment of Elemento 43. The company thrives by uniting its members to overcome obstacles and realize innovative ideas.
