A CUSTOM THEME FOR A TAILORED DESIGN Visio, an investment management firm based in South Africa, undertook a comprehensive rebranding initiative, which included redesigning and developing their website in line with their corporate identity. For any financial institution, establishing a strong online presence and effectively communicating information to stakeholders is crucial, both for branding and the integrity of the financial data provided. We collaborated with Firedog, a seasoned branding and design agency, whose responsibility was to create the new website design that reflected the corporate identity and included branded elements. Elementals' task was to take these designs and construct a pixel-perfect custom WordPress theme for the website. You might wonder why we chose WordPress and a custom theme. WordPress was selected as the Content Management System (CMS) because it enables Visio to easily add and modify content. As for the custom WordPress theme, it was necessary due to the distinctiveness of the design tailored specifically for this project; therefore, developing a unique theme was essential to achieve the desired outcome. Incorporating movement and animation has become integral to modern websites, enhancing the User Experience (UX). For the Visio site, we incorporated these animations subtly to maintain a polished appearance without being distracting, as overly flashy elements can be counterproductive and frustrating for users. The navigation dynamically adjusts as users scroll, making it more prominent at the top of the page and shrinking as they move down, ensuring it is less intrusive. Additionally, the navigation is "sticky," remaining visible so users can access the menu without needing to scroll back up.

Planning holiday travel can be overwhelming, especially when searching for ideal destinations, enjoyable activities, and suitable accommodations. Pre-packaged deals often offer limited options, which, while convenient, may not always meet your needs. Recognizing this, Nemo, an innovative travel company aiming to disrupt the industry, wanted to empower users with more choices and flexibility in planning their ideal vacations. Their website serves as the platform to realize this vision. DESIGN IT YOUR WAY To bring Nemo's vision to life, specialized skills were essential. Greenbox Designs collaborated with Elemental to create this exceptional website. Greenbox Designs played a crucial role in converting Nemo's ideas into usable wireframes, focusing on creating a smooth User Experience (UX) and appealing User Interface (UI) design. Elemental was selected as the development partner because of their extensive experience in building custom websites. They were responsible for the project's complete functionality, including database design, integration, web development, testing, quality assurance, and deployment. HOW WE CONVERTED RAW DATA INTO AN INTERACTIVE ELECTRICITY MANAGEMENT TOOL Brightspark Online offers several electricity-related services, primarily focusing on minimizing consumption costs, understanding usage patterns, and enhancing operations. They enlisted Elemental to create an online application that grants clients real-time access to various facets of their electricity consumption and provides tools to help them comprehend their needs and improve energy efficiency. A key requirement was to design the tool to be visually appealing and present data in an intuitive manner using graphs and visual dashboards. THE SOLUTION Given the complexities of electricity billing, along with the various tariffs and associated regulations, Elemental had to undergo extensive learning. After this, the entire project was outlined in collaboration with Brightspark. Clients would be able to log into the system and engage with a visually rich dashboard that summarizes their power consumption profile accurately. They could also access detailed graphs and reports displaying their daily, monthly, and yearly consumption and costs, tariff information, and a comparison of their actual spending against their budget or target. Additionally, the application provided several tools enabling clients to project their costs based on changes in tariffs and consumption, manage different sectors of their organization, and more. With powerful graphs and integrated tools, clients could forecast, plan, and pinpoint areas for improvement in their operations, leading to cost reductions and increased efficiency.
