Portfolio

Pilio: UK startup for net zero impact

Pilio

Pilio is a web application built on Ruby on Rails that provides businesses with a tool to track their consumption of electricity, gas, carbon, and water, aiming to assist them in minimizing their environmental impact. Pilio offers a variety of climate and nature-related tools, including Healthy Workspace and Carbon Footprint. Our advanced development team has contributed to the creation and enhancement of these features and has been involved in Pilio's international expansion. Pilio is part of Sustainable Ventures' workspace community located at County Hall in London and has emerged from research conducted by Oxford Innovation. Additionally, it collaborates with Oxford's incubator and accelerator for innovative and rapidly-growing businesses throughout the UK.

Hurr: Circular fashion platform

Unknown

Hurr is a circular fashion platform dedicated to rental and resale, aimed at addressing the challenges of fast fashion. The platform includes a clothing marketplace for consumers and a white-label product tailored for B2B operations. As the project expanded and the goal was to further scale the white-label model, a centralized internal platform became essential. To achieve this, we created the Order Management System (OMS). Developing the OMS involved overcoming various challenges to ensure an efficient end product. In light of these challenges, we devised an innovative solution by creating a gem that standardizes data collection from multiple sources. With the OMS, Hurr can seamlessly create, organize, edit, update, and remove information in an efficient and scalable manner. Our team also prioritized enhancing the scalability of the white-label offerings, enabling clothing brands to set up rental websites quickly. Hurr has secured over 4 million in investments and aims for ongoing growth. The business serves a diverse customer base globally, addressing one of the most detrimental industries: fashion.

Vopero: Sustainable fashion app

Vopero

Vopero is a cutting-edge mobile and web application aimed at encouraging a new generation to adopt a more mindful and sustainable approach to clothing consumption. This Node.js platform links recycled fashion with individuals seeking an easy way to access stylish second-hand apparel. The design of the user experience and logistics was meticulously crafted: Vopero's team handles the collection, sorting, and prompt delivery of the items. If the clothes remain unsold after a few months, they are donated to charity, ensuring continued circulation. The primary challenge in developing this startup was managing its complex microservices and serverless architecture. We created a resale digital application that collects, organizes, and showcases millions of clothing items. A team of full-stack developers was assembled under our CTO to focus on the back office, backend, and mobile app. Within less than a year of its launch, Vopero secured $7.5 million to grow its operations in the LATAM market. Eagerworks played a crucial role as a tech partner in facilitating the fundraising, helping Vopero launch successfully with the necessary scalability and performance.
