The EQL Directory powered by Spotify

The EQL Directory / Spotify

Through their collaboration, Sound Girls and Spotify successfully launched the EQL project, a search directory designed for women transforming the audio industry. This initiative serves as a comprehensive resource showcasing the profiles and achievements of women in music, supported by a user-friendly interface developed by WILD Agency. Digital Phoenix contributed significant technical expertise during the project's implementation, leading to its successful outcome. Challenges faced included: - Developing a robust backend API system for seamless integration with a React-based framework. - Ensuring the system could handle high traffic loads while maintaining uptime. - Incorporating translation capabilities and an intuitive content management interface. - Implementing security measures and a firewall system to guard against potential threats. - Establishing strong caching mechanisms to enhance the search experience. To address these challenges, Digital Phoenix chose modern technologies and created an array of end-to-end APIs for a decoupled architecture. The search and profile indexing components are integral, capable of indexing millions of user-generated profiles while delivering quick results based on user queries. Additionally, the cloud hosting infrastructure facilitated horizontal scaling, allowing the system to adjust server instances during traffic fluctuations, keeping costs stable and even reducing them when traffic decreases.

Pinterest for Business

Digital Phoenix and Pinterest enjoyed a highly successful and appreciative partnership in developing the Pinterest Business and several other key sub-projects. Through their collaboration, Digital Phoenix delivered expert skills to enhance the platforms with additional features, create integrations, and ensure smooth teamwork among development teams, leading to the successful launch of projects. Challenges included: - Developing a robust multilingual platform. - Supporting hundreds of thousands of users each month. - Ensuring scalability and ease of maintenance. - Providing a comprehensive editorial toolkit, page-building options, and localization capabilities. Solution: Together with the Pinterest team, we worked on creating a strong CMS system to provide the best experience for content editors regarding content entry, translation, and content moderation workflows. We equipped editors with all necessary tools to concentrate on the content itself, minimizing any technical difficulties or functional gaps. Extensive integrations with third-party tools streamlined and automated the content translation process, facilitating website localization and upkeep almost overnight.

Challenges included: - Integrating with Shopify - Reworking the main theme - Optimizing website performance - Incorporating a payment gateway - Implementing a wishlist feature.
