Fanspeak.com is an engaging platform tailored for passionate sports enthusiasts. Here, sports fans come together to utilize Fanspeak's online features, most notably its unique On the Clock NFL Mock Draft Simulator. This tool allows users to step into the role of general manager, researching players and immersing themselves in the sport to manage their favorite teams and create the ideal roster. In addition to over 20 football tools, Fanspeak offers resources such as mock drafts, databases, power rankings, and more for various sports including football, baseball, basketball, and hockey. The company is continuously developing new online tools. Launched in 2009, it started as a niche community for sports fans to share their enthusiasm for professional sports through blogs, social networks, and forums. The initial web developer did not meet the founders’ vision or deadlines, leading to challenges in the website’s development. Furthermore, the original social network concept failed to attract a large user base. The founders then refocused the site to encourage in-person sports gatherings among fans and later to feature sports articles and content, but these efforts also struggled to gain sufficient traction. In 2010, Fanspeak partnered with Digital Ink, a creative firm that needed a new web developer to advance the website and align with the changing strategy. Digital Ink successfully executed Fanspeak's original social networking idea within budget and on schedule. Subsequently, the firm collaborated with Fanspeak to iteratively enhance the site, adding and refining tools over time. Besides designing and developing online sports features, Digital Ink emerged as Fanspeak’s key partner in shaping and adapting their digital strategy.

Silver Branch Brewing Company is a distinctive local taproom that provides beer enthusiasts with a friendly, globally inspired experience. Located in Silver Spring, MD, this gathering place is centered around the German concept of gemütlichkeit, which embodies the warm camaraderie of enjoying a drink with friends. Launched in March 2019, Silver Branch, known for its carefully crafted flagship and seasonal beers, commemorated its first anniversary in March 2020. The brewery sells its products at its nearby DC Metro venue, as well as through wholesale and online channels. Before its opening, Silver Branch collaborated with Digital Ink to develop a customized and visually appealing website that would introduce the brewery to the public and adapt as the business grew. Once operational, the website served as an essential resource for beer aficionados to stay updated on new offerings and events. However, following a year of impressive growth and record sales, the COVID-19 pandemic struck, forcing Silver Branch and many bars and restaurants globally to close. With in-person sales halted, the brewery's main source of income vanished overnight. Urgent plans for an e-commerce platform emerged, as Silver Branch sought to establish new channels for curbside pickup, delivery, and online sales to endure the pandemic restrictions. When COVID-19 impacted operations, Silver Branch reached out to Digital Ink to turn their long-term e-commerce aspirations into reality. Digital Ink enhanced the website with innovative features, allowing customers to order beer, wine, and food for pickup and delivery without relying on third-party delivery services. Most importantly, Digital Ink swiftly helped Silver Branch launch a new e-commerce platform, transforming their previously nonexistent online sales into a peak of $25,000 per week.

Maryland Public Service Commission

The Maryland Public Service Commission (PSC) oversees public utilities such as gas, electricity, water, telephone, and sewage services, as well as select transportation companies for the state's residents. Its five-member board, appointed by the Governor, is responsible for establishing utility rates. The PSC also evaluates utility service proposals, conducts equipment inspections, approves the construction of overhead power lines, audits financial records, and handles consumer complaints. Since 2013, Digital Ink has assisted the Commission in enhancing and optimizing its primary website using a tailored WordPress template to improve the user experience. The updated site effectively highlighted Commission news, including press releases and information on hearings, and was designed based on survey feedback and in accordance with changing state regulations. More recently, Digital Ink swiftly created a COVID-19 landing page to keep Maryland utility customers informed during the pandemic. Digital Ink has supplemented the programming and database tasks of the Commission’s IT staff and continues to offer support for the main website as needed. The PSC’s site has been updated for easier navigation and improved functionality. Thanks to Digital Ink's WordPress template, content can now be updated more easily by several PSC content managers. Their efficient, client-focused approach also allowed the Commission to launch the Electric Choice website in March 2020, ahead of the mandated deadline, followed by the Gas Choice site in September. Both sites received positive responses from regulators, consumers, and the media. Electric and gas suppliers can easily access the website daily to register or update rate information, leading to an increase in customer traffic from these new platforms.
