Migration from custom CMS to WordPress

First English Center - Ukraine

**Challenge:** The client's website operated on a custom CMS that was no longer maintained by the original development team. Managing content was cumbersome, as all data was hard-coded, and even small updates necessitated developer intervention, resulting in limited flexibility and slowing daily operations. **Solution:** The objective was to transition the website to an open-source CMS that would enable the client's non-technical staff to independently handle: - Updating pages with new content - Publishing articles - Managing basic information like class schedules and teacher listings. After considering various options, WordPress was selected as the ideal solution due to its user-friendliness, scalability, and extensive community support. The migration adhered to the client's current design and utilized a minimal number of plugins to ensure stability and ease of maintenance. Furthermore, documentation, training, and knowledge transfer were provided to equip the client's internal team to manage the platform confidently. **Result:** The website was completely migrated to WordPress and optimized for user-friendliness. All content is now editable through the admin panel without needing developer help, allowing the non-technical team to fully take charge of the site. This has resulted in quicker content updates and a decreased reliance on external developers.
