ABOUT DEVBLOCK / DB_STUDIO

Human-Driven AI-Enhanced Design & Development

At Devblock / Db_studio, we unite exceptional talent to tackle software challenges. Based in Seattle, Devblock is a prominent technology firm that specializes in product development, creative solutions, and software engineering. Founded in 2019 by Microsoft and Deloitte veterans Benjamin Liu and James Sun, Devblock originally has its roots as a professional services software development company dating back to 2009 under different ownership. While it started with a focus on software development, the firm has since broadened its services to include award-winning creative, UI/UX, and product development, achieving notable success in the Media and Entertainment sector. Our clients include venture-backed tech startups creating machine vision solutions (taggrading.com), medium-sized businesses (like MacDonald Miller and Hytrol), hospital networks (such as University Hospitals Cleveland, Massachusetts General Hospital, and Overlake Medical Center), government agencies (including Snohomish 911, Norcom 911, and Valleycom 911), and large Fortune 100 companies (like eBay and a globally recognized entertainment conglomerate that remains unnamed).

Exclusive Web 3.0 Clubs for High-End Brands

MINTX

DevBlock collaborated with MintX, a B2B2C platform, to strengthen brand advocacy and engagement by leveraging Web 3.0 technology. The initiative focused on unifying MintX's disjointed brand identity and creating a cohesive club experience through NFTs. Among the major accomplishments were the creation of a detailed design system, enhancement of accessibility, and improvement of user experience across essential functions such as onboarding, voting, and rewards. This adaptable design system enables any brand to easily join MintX and establish their clubs, encouraging participation through blockchain-powered voting and gamified rewards. Scaling a SAAS Education Platform to 2M+ Users

LinkIt!

Background LinkIt! (www1.linkit.com) is an educational software-as-a-service (SAAS) provider that assists schools and K-12 service providers with assessment solutions and enhancing academic performance through real-time data collection and advanced performance analytics. The company required a redesign of its platform to accommodate large-scale usage. The existing platform was based on outdated technology that needed a complete overhaul to support their rapid growth. The Chief Information Officer opted against hiring an internal team due to the costs and lengthy onboarding process. Instead, she chose Devblock for its skilled workforce and capability to scale quickly. Solution Within three months, a dedicated team from Devblock was established and operational. They rebuilt and seamlessly integrated the platform, which now handles over 15 million requests daily from thousands of schools around the globe, with nearly a million students actively engaged. Devblock continues to support and add new features to LinkIt!’s standardized testing and reporting platform, with a dedicated project team ensuring its ongoing success.
