Modernizing Inventory Management
Integration of Next-Generation Scanning Devices: To address the limitations of an outdated inventory application, we created a new Android app specifically designed for the advanced Zebra scanning device. This new application replaced the old Windows Mobile app, which had been originally developed for the Intermec CK3 scanner. Our development aimed to fully leverage the capabilities of the Zebra scanner, ensuring smooth functionality and improved efficiency. Backend and Cloud Connectivity: A key aspect of this project was the development of a new API using .NET Core, which was crucial for integrating with cloud platforms like Azure and Amazon AWS. This backend setup facilitated real-time data synchronization, essential for effective inventory management. Innovative Inventory Management: Our software transformed the management of the client's transportation data. By combining data capture and processing, we enabled real-time scanning of barcodes and QR codes, significantly accelerating the updating of inventory databases. This level of automation reduced errors and optimized inventory tracking, replenishment, and order fulfillment. The app provided intuitive interfaces that granted immediate access to inventory data, reorder notifications, and analytics, streamlining operations and supplying businesses with effective inventory management tools. Legacy System Transformation: The customized Android app for Zebra scanners significantly upgraded the company's inventory systems. It successfully moved them from an outdated framework to a modern, streamlined Android solution. The optimized user interface improved the experience on Zebra devices, reducing manual inefficiencies and modernizing core business processes.
