We achieved a 35x return on ad spend by acquiring new policyholders for workers' compensation through paid search. Our OBJECTIVE was to attract and convert fresh workers' compensation insurance policyholders using a revamped digital quote-and-buy experience. Given the high costs per click in the industry, usually between $10 and $50, our challenge was to mitigate these expenses by focusing our PPC efforts effectively. Our STRATEGY involved executing highly targeted PPC campaigns while creatively managing bids and budgets to optimize the cost per conversion. We adopted a focused approach with both paid search and social media campaigns, honing in on specific keywords and audiences that were likely to deliver high conversion rates, thereby reducing our acquisition costs. By adding an extensive list of negative keywords, we ensured our ads reached only the most relevant audiences. As we began to experience conversions, we adjusted our budget allocations to emphasize the most effective keywords, ad text, and targeting strategies. Moreover, we provided insights on improving landing pages to enhance conversion rates. RESULTS included an impressive 35x return on ad spend, with SAIF achieving their objective of $1 million in new premiums within the first year. This success was greatly aided by the fantastic SAIF team, who contributed valuable insights into their customers, operations, and the broader market, as well as their assistance in implementing our recommendations. Within just three months, our paid search pilot program generated over $500,000 in total lifetime premiums, showcasing a 35x ROAS. Much of this success can be attributed to SAIF’s outstanding reputation, excellent customer support, and strong policyholder retention. iPEC | 714% More Lead Without Increasing Ad Spend

How we assisted iPEC Coaching in generating 8 times more leads without raising their advertising budget. OBJECTIVE: After two decades in operation, enhancing marketing ROI and increasing iPEC's share in the coaching sector were major priorities. Throughout a multi-year partnership, we identified ways to consistently enhance their website's user experience and conversion rates, boost advertising ROI, and attract high-converting organic traffic. SOLUTION: We integrated PPC, SEO, and CRO to attract and convert a more targeted audience. Search engine marketing had always been a reliable source of leads for iPEC, but there were considerable opportunities to gain more from search efforts. By adopting a systematic, data-driven methodology for SEO and PPC, we more than doubled the number of leads while reducing the cost-per-acquisition by 50% within the first six months. The subsequent phase involved conversion rate optimization, starting with in-depth analytics, heatmapping, user testing, and feedback sessions with students, alumni, and staff. Continuous A/B testing based on these insights revealed enhancements in messaging, site navigation, page layouts, and calls-to-action, resulting in immediate boosts in conversion rates and valuable insights that guided a complete site redesign and subsequent ongoing A/B testing. RESULTS: A remarkable 714% increase in leads year-over-year. iPEC saw substantial growth, yielding thousands more leads each year, translating to an impressive 714% rise compared to the previous year. Leads from paid search and retargeting grew by 447%, along with a 73% reduction in cost-per-lead. Organic search traffic increased by 56%, leading to a 123% uptick in leads. Additionally, the visit-to-lead conversion rate more than doubled, with the site redesign contributing an extra 54% improvement.

OBJECTIVE: Revamping the e-commerce platform to enhance online presence Powell’s Books, the largest independent bookstore in the United States, underwent a notable transformation as sales shifted predominantly to their e-commerce platform during the pandemic. With a surge in online orders, it became essential to modernize their e-commerce and marketing strategies. SOLUTION: From an SEO perspective, addressing crawl budget issues (Google had difficulty efficiently crawling their millions of URLs) led to an increase in indexed pages from under 300,000 to over 1.8 million in six months, resulting in significant organic traffic growth. Through detailed analysis of search intent models and an examination of thousands of keywords over several years, extensive on-page optimization opportunities were identified and categorized by topic and sub-topic. The use of Tableau heatmaps and trend charts aided in visualizing this data. By prioritizing the most impactful pages and site sections, ongoing improvements were made without overwhelming the limited technical and content resources available. In terms of PPC, developing segmented product feeds enabled the launch of Google Shopping Ads campaigns (followed by testing Performance Max versions), which were further divided by region and profitability. Identifying the most lucrative product segments was crucial and allowed for prioritizing spending in areas that yielded the highest return on investment. RESULTS: An additional $1 million in online sales — all through search. Enhancing Powell's online inventory visibility resulted in approximately $1 million in extra annual revenue generated from both paid and organic search. By developing targeted Google Shopping Ads campaigns and product feeds, we achieved $550,000 in annual revenue, demonstrating an impressive 850% return on ad spend. Fixing technical and on-page SEO issues led to a greater number of indexed products and enhanced search visibility, contributing an additional $450,000 in annual revenue.
