RAC: Creating Agility for Tech Innovation

Before partnering with Deazy, the RAC relied on a third-party agency and contract staff to assist their internal team in project delivery. Outsourcing projects can create difficulties for teams aiming to implement a comprehensive digital transformation roadmap. In addition to slowing down delivery, third-party involvement can elevate project risks and costs. Additionally, essential technical expertise may reside outside the core in-house team, which can hinder smooth handovers. Deazy began its collaboration with the RAC in October 2020. By leveraging Deazy’s skilled nearshore developers, the RAC gained access to flexible teams knowledgeable in various tech stacks for both mobile and web applications. The RAC quickly realized the benefits of this partnership when Deazy's team resolved a weekend maintenance issue in under 24 hours. Today, the RAC and Deazy maintain a strong collaborative relationship, with Deazy’s nearshore team contributing to exciting projects, including two mobile applications and work across six different technologies. Furthermore, the Deazy team has strengthened the RAC’s in-house team by providing talent from ten exceptional teams.

Orderbee: Making product delivery easy

Orderbee

Orderbee is among the most popular Order and Pay applications in the UK. Developed by Omnifi and part of Access Group’s software suite, it is utilized by several well-known hospitality businesses in the UK, including Wagamama, Fuller’s pubs, and Pitcher & Piano. In early 2020, the company noticed a significant slowdown in their agency pipeline due to the uncertainties brought on by COVID-19. This situation prompted the agency to allocate some of their internal resources to develop Orderbee. The initial development was carried out by Omnifi’s own internal squad focused on development and testing. However, as businesses resumed their digital transformation initiatives, Omnifi’s agency clients needed increased development support, which diverted their in-house team’s attention away from completing Orderbee. When Omnifi reached out to Deazy, they were pleasantly surprised by the cost-effectiveness of development services. The partnership began with the onboarding and vetting of three full-stack developers and a Quality Assurance resource to advance the Orderbee roadmap. This allowed Omnifi's internal team to redirect their focus to the agency pipeline. Deazy efficiently integrated the new team members, helping to develop new features for Orderbee within just four weeks. After the initial successful collaboration, the nearshore team also started assisting with agency projects, enabling the development team to adjust in size according to business and client demands. Currently, Deazy continues to enhance the Orderbee platform as its user base grows, offering the flexibility to scale the team up or down as required.

Upgrading eCommerce Platforms with Ease

FastKeys

Before partnering with Deazy, FastKeys engaged two freelance developers to assist with migrating their custom platform to a new digital infrastructure. However, like many businesses that utilize freelancers, FastKeys quickly encountered problems and delays. Although the project was ultimately completed, it was finished over two and a half years later than originally anticipated. When FastKeys began working with Deazy, finding a partner who truly understood their vision and could provide long-term support was crucial. To help FastKeys Services secure a dedicated team, Deazy's internal oversight team focused on facilitating a smooth knowledge transfer and onboarding process. Additionally, to ensure that the projects were well-organized and efficient, Deazy sought various roles to manage all aspects of the initiative. After just four weeks of onboarding, FastKeys Services’ new team was brought up to speed through product introductions, backlog and roadmap reviews, and technical workshops. Once onboard, Deazy's network of developers commenced enhancements to FastKeys' eCommerce site, specifically targeting the checkout process. The first project was completed in a mere two weeks. One year later, Deazy continues to work with FastKeys to enhance their online presence and improve the user experience.
