Instant Payment Services

AL5 Bank

Developed by Brazil's Central Bank (BC, Banco Central), PIX is an instant payment system that enables quick fund transfers between accounts at any time of day. Although it is considered convenient, speedy, and secure, financial institutions face numerous challenges in implementing it. Many have been unable to become accredited for PIX due to not meeting the minimum requirements during its initial phase of approval with the Central Bank. AL5 Bank previously had an app for facilitating transfers, checking balances, and requesting loans, but needed enhancements to its features for a significant upgrade. With the involvement of DB1 in the project, the app was enhanced through a user experience analysis that identified the need for new functionalities, including improved security measures and a digital certificate. The entire app environment underwent a redesign. New additions to the AL5 Bank app included a clipboard for compatibility with other banks and an enhanced user experience. Thanks to DB1's development, AL5 Bank customers can now easily monitor the transparency of the process involved in creating and transferring their PIX key from one bank to another—a process often ambiguous or error-prone at other banks. Patrícia Michelli Alves De Lima, Financial Administrative Director of AL5 Bank, noted that the excellence of DB1's work processes was crucial to the project's success, stating, “The work methodology and technical quality of the DB1 team responsible for creating the application provided us with peace of mind throughout the process.”

Vehicle Credit Granting Platform for a Bank

Omni Financial

**Location: Brazil Mobile and Web Platform Overview:** The introduction of the Omni+ mobile platform has streamlined the vehicle credit approval process for OMNI, making it less bureaucratic. Murilo Silvério, the Chief Operating Officer at Omni Financial Solutions, describes the initial challenge and its resolution: “Previously, our desktop-only simulator required filling out 18 fields to determine the installment payment amount without accommodating the customer's guarantee requirements. Now, we can conduct a preliminary screening with just 6 fields, which undergoes a series of validations to pre-approve financing or refinancing conditions, pending only the verification of the information provided by the customer." By centering the needs of customers in the process, the Omni+ mobile and desktop platforms have transformed credit analysis and are projected to benefit over 222,000 individuals, including retailers, credit officers, and consumers. The Omni+ app enables credit analysis and simulates vehicle financing options in minutes. It also allows for real-time adjustments to purchasing conditions based on customer preferences, simply by tapping the screen. "We were able to implement the necessary agility to address the bureaucratic obstacles that threatened sales. We focused on UX development for Omni+ with real user input. The project was designed to ensure timely deliveries and minimize rework." A team of ten specialists was assembled to create Omni+, completing the task in just over two months and producing nearly 300 deliverables. Read more: https://db1global.com/cases/omni/
