Channeled: CRM Transformation

Channeled

Intro Channeled aims to enhance customer interactions by making them easier and more valuable, turning everyday conversations into a structured and actionable strategy. The core goal is to simplify workspace management on platforms like Slack. Challenges We encountered numerous difficulties, such as outdated code, excessive repositories, high AWS costs, limitations of the Slack API, and underutilized AI capabilities. Instead of being deterred by these obstacles, we viewed them as opportunities to create significant change. Solution Transitioning from a Slack-centric application to an engaging web platform was just the initial step. We faced challenges with our extensive and outdated codebase, leading us to temporarily pause rapid development to consolidate our repositories and enhance our infrastructure for improved efficiency. Adopting a monorepo structure addressed our issues, enabling us to develop Slack and web applications simultaneously while maintaining high quality through strict guidelines and automated testing. To reduce expenses, we migrated from AWS to Vercel for app hosting and adopted Neon's serverless database. Impact This transformation elevated our code quality and compliance standards significantly. The changes provided a substantial boost to our development process, allowing us to concentrate on customer needs without getting overwhelmed by technical complexities. Additionally, the shift to Vercel and Neon resulted in greater cost efficiency.

Fireweed: Carbon Market Reinvented

Fireweed

**Introduction** Fireweed is making impressive strides by transforming the voluntary carbon market and providing significant support to small landowners in Africa. Their ambitious goal is to create a fair carbon market for everyone. They enlisted our assistance to help turn their initial concept into a tangible product. **Challenges** The tasks ahead were quite intricate. Our objective was to develop a high-quality structure that is efficient, reliable, and scalable. Key functionalities we needed to perfect included Mapbox and Stripe, which required a blend of innovative and practical solutions. Additionally, we faced the challenge of converting early Figma designs into a fully functional interactive web application. **Solution** Once we established a robust architecture, we shifted our focus to user registration and security, developing a secure login system. We leveraged the right tools to present critical information, such as carbon metrics and project statistics, clearly. We enhanced Mapbox's performance by incorporating advanced features and methods for easy data access. Our main goal was to ensure a smooth user experience, which we achieved by improving visibility controls and interactive user options. To address the financial interface issue, we created a digital wallet system with Stripe, enabling users to easily deposit and withdraw funds. **Impact** As we implemented innovative technological solutions, Fireweed’s vision of a fair carbon market began to materialize. Every step we took, from establishing a solid structure to utilizing advanced data tools and Mapbox, contributed significantly to Fireweed’s mission to transform the carbon market in Africa.
