Smok wawelski - the first polish dinosaur in AR

The Museum of Evolution of Polish Academy of Scien

Smok, which means "dragon" in Polish, is an extinct genus of large carnivorous archosaur that existed during the late Triassic period in Lisowice, southern Poland. Now, thanks to Augmented Reality, it is being brought back to life! In collaboration with the Museum of Evolution, the Institute of Paleobiology, and the Polish Academy of Sciences, we are reconstructing Smok in Augmented Reality. The skeleton reconstruction of Smok Wawelski is displayed in the hall of the Faculty of Biology at Varsav University. Utilizing a 3D scan of the skeleton (created with iPhone Lidar Scan) and accurate references from the Paleontological Museum in Lisowice, we are developing a fully animated and interactive 3D model that will soon be accessible via a mobile AR application at the Museum. *The photo provides a glimpse of one of the initial iterations of the 3D model we have created.

STORM MR - Escape Room Mixed Reality Project

A Mixed Reality (MR) Escape Room/Puzzle game designed for Microsoft HoloLens 2, set against the backdrop of World War II. Players engage in a series of logical challenges inspired by the Warsaw Uprising of 1944. Taking on the role of an insurgent, the objective is to unlock a safe and retrieve the hidden items within. To accomplish this, players must find keys concealed within various puzzles. The game leverages Azure technologies, including Spatial Anchors and PlayFab for multiplayer functionality, as well as Remote Rendering to enhance the resolution of 3D models.
