Liberty Station
Liberty Station stands out as one of San Diego’s premier locations for shopping, dining, art, and entertainment. Once one of the Navy's earliest bases in Southern California, it has evolved into a 361-acre historic mixed-use community. It boasts hundreds of establishments, including unique local boutiques, restaurants, art galleries and studios, grocery stores, fitness and wellness centers, San Diego's inaugural public market, and event venues. Visitors to Liberty Station can find four hotels in the serene South Point area. Outdoor amenities include a 9-hole, par-three golf course originally established in the base's early days, seasonal art installations, and 48 acres of beautiful park space. The area is also home to fully restored military structures, such as barracks, a mess hall, and officer quarters, featuring stunning architecture influenced by the Spanish Colonial Revival style. Liberty Station serves as a focal point of San Diego’s rich heritage, a highlight of the vibrant city it has become, and a key destination for learning, staying, or enjoying for many years to come.
