The journey of Crema began in 2009 when co-founders George Brooks and Dan Linhart aimed to create a company they'd be excited to be a part of. Initially focused on UX design, the business transformed as clients requested that we develop the products we had designed. While their sales increased significantly each month, the technology they initially implemented was struggling to keep up with the growing demands on both the system and their team. To enhance their capacity for growth and strengthen their market position, the ProfessionalChats team relied on Crema to address numerous technology issues over the course of several years of collaboration. WorkSmart.ai is poised to revolutionize the retail intelligence industry. Historically, the primary source of monetizable data in the market has been retailer POS data, yet many retailers fail to capture their optimal share of the revenue. As a company focused on data and intelligence monetization, WorkSmart.ai assists businesses in developing a more effective data and intelligence ecosystem through its marketplace-as-a-service platform. In April 2019, Crema and WorkSmart.ai embarked on a collaboration to design and test the product's initial concept, as well as to create a technical plan for market introduction. After a six-week engagement in early 2019, WorkSmart.ai has established a strong brand identity, a functional prototype, and a detailed technical strategy that will serve to attract potential investors and facilitate the development of their minimum viable product. A Design Sprint to Increase Velocity & Buy-In

Major Retail Chain

In the fourth quarter of 2019, a Senior Product Manager at a large retail chain (referred to as the Client) was reviewing his roadmap for enhancing customer experience, aiming for a redesign by the end of the third quarter of 2020. To meet this deadline, designs needed to be completed in the second quarter, necessitating that the new product direction be established in the first quarter, just a few months away. Consequently, there was an urgent need for solutions. To address this, he began seeking companies that could facilitate a Design Sprint with their team. **Pre-Engagement** Our teams held regular meetings in the lead-up to the kickoff to ensure alignment on expectations, timelines, and deliverables. **Days 1-3** From 10 am to 4 pm each day, the team was fully engaged in collaborative workshops. Acknowledging that Design Sprints require a significant time investment, it was crucial for the Client's team to have the hours from 8 to 10 am to manage other urgent tasks. Additionally, both the 8 to 10 am and 4 to 5 pm slots included important discussions with stakeholders that provided key context for the work done and what remained to be completed. **Post-Workshops** Once the designs were finalized, the Client conducted a comprehensive stakeholder review to gather feedback and secure buy-in from the team before proceeding. After receiving user feedback on the designs, the Client presented their findings to key stakeholders for additional input and to determine next steps. With this feedback, the team incorporated the most effective aspects of the 2019 experience into the new designs, resulting in an enhanced and more robust final product. These designs received approval from the Client's stakeholder team and are currently being implemented for a rollout planned for late 2020.
