NextSense e-commerce design and development

NextSense

NextSense is a brand focused on wearable technology that is changing the landscape of sleep technology. Unlike most sleep tracking devices that passively gather data, NextSense actively engages with the brain’s sleep cycles in real-time using EEG sensors. The challenge was to create a digital product that could convey a complex scientific concept to a wide audience while encouraging immediate conversion upon launch. Our strategy was to design the website as a guided narrative instead of a product catalog. Each scroll was carefully crafted to enhance understanding step by step, starting with the common necessity for improved sleep, progressing through the science of brainwave synchronization, and culminating in the product as the logical solution. To make the science relatable without overwhelming users, we employed interactive graphics and actual EEG-inspired visuals. For the e-commerce aspect, we implemented a completely customized Shopify architecture, allowing for both a visually rich experience and a smooth purchasing process. Bundles and subscription options were integrated via Recharge, transforming first-time customers into loyal ones.

The client requested a website that captures the design and architectural features that visitors can experience at the hotel, including the various space designs, stones, plants, colors, sunlight, and constellations, among others. The intended audience for this project includes both local and international travelers interested in exploring one of the city's most beautiful hotels.

At Bastarda Type, our clients previously maintained a website to display their work. However, they required a more comprehensive digital solution to market their typefaces and enable users to test their fonts. The new website we developed needed to be not only visually appealing but also user-friendly. It was essential to attract both prospective customers and typography enthusiasts. The primary challenge of this design project was to clearly separate typography from branding projects while also creating an intuitive purchasing process for all users.
