Blitzit Case Study: A concept project that became

Blitzit

The founder of Blitzit has a strong passion for productivity but found his previous apps unsatisfactory. Our job was to create an application similar to Slash, incorporating specific features and design modifications he requested. The client outlined several requirements, which we addressed as follows: **Wireframe:** We started by developing a low-fidelity conceptual design. Our initial creation was a task tower that slides out from the left side of the desktop and can be easily hidden with a button click or keyboard shortcut. **Design Systems:** Once we received approval on the concepts, we proceeded to develop a basic design system that included elements such as colors, typography, and spacing. We also created a foundational components library, consisting of fields, buttons, and labels. Utilizing this design system, we were able to construct a high-fidelity version of the application from scratch within just a few days. **Prototype & Development:** We then developed an exceptionally high-fidelity prototype that felt very tactile. The client was genuinely amazed by the results. The close-to-realistic nature of the prototype expedited the development process significantly, leading to most of the app being built in three months. Effective design systems and high-fidelity prototypes eliminate the need for extensive documentation and handoff discussions with development teams. **Conclusion:** Implementing design systems and high-fidelity prototypes can accelerate your build process by a factor of 100. This is the motivation behind creating Together.Design.

Spring Case Study: Interactive Tactile Prototype f

Spring, Inc

Teespring (Spring, Inc.) is a U.S.-based company that runs Spring, a social e-commerce platform enabling creators to design and sell personalized merchandise. In 2014, the company secured $55 million in venture capital from Khosla Ventures and Andreessen Horowitz. To enhance their existing product team, Spring sought additional expertise to assess their design system and assist in redesigning their Creator Onboarding to prioritize a “Mobile First” approach. They also required a completely new design editor tool that would provide an interactive experience. From the initial discovery call, it became evident that they needed two key services to expedite their design process for a Mobile First Creator Onboarding Experience: 1. A comprehensive audit of the design system and 2. A high-fidelity prototype for an integrated design tool for their merchandise (eliminating the need for third-party tools). The audit was completed within the first week, providing a clear direction for refreshing the design system and developing a new high-fidelity prototype with an engaging tactile experience for stakeholders. Leveraging our design team's expertise in building various SaaS design tools, we drafted initial wireframes, established the core flow, and promptly progressed to high fidelity. As we refined each step and feature, we crafted the required interactive components to streamline prototype creation. Overall, it took us just one week to finalize and enhance the prototype for presentation. Jared and his team expressed that they were "blown away" by the outcome. They appreciated the onboarding process's simplicity and the exceptionally high quality of the work, ultimately bypassing the typical challenges of the traditional hiring process. There were no elaborate interviews or endless portfolio reviews; they were able to begin immediately, and the results exceeded their expectations.
