Portfolio Consolidation for Two Merging Brands

Unknown

**Business Challenges** The client merged with another expanding company within the same industry, resulting in two separate SaaS platforms for their operations. After the merger, there was a need to integrate these into a single, cohesive platform. They requested our assistance in evaluating the system's architecture, database, coding standards, and assessing the system based on various quality attributes. **Solutions** Using the information collected, CodePolicy developed a comprehensive IT roadmap. Our architecture team conducted an architecture review employing the ATAM method to evaluate different quality characteristics. We performed a static code analysis to assess the code's quality. Additionally, our team carried out a manual review of the code and system design to understand and collect feedback on the product's design implementation. We also manually examined the database and its structure to evaluate normalization and de-normalization as well as the design's impact on performance and security.

Multi-Vendor eCommerce Solution

Unknown

**Business Challenges** The main goal was to bring on board several vendors to transform their website into a premier destination for diverse fashion products. The current ASP.NET e-commerce solution they acquired from the marketplace had several limitations, including decreased scalability, unforeseen capital expenditures, and frustrating delays in bringing products to market. **Solutions** CodePolicy evaluated the existing platform and identified various challenges. Following this analysis, our team recommended a suitable IT solution to address the identified issues while working within the existing framework. We began with user experience (UX) design to enhance usability and deliver an exceptional experience for end-users. The system was broken down into multiple sub-services, which we gradually replaced without disrupting the business. Development of the mobile app commenced once the core web functionalities were operational.

Modernized Application of a PR Major

Unknown

**Business Challenges** The fragmented IT landscape and inefficient application design were unable to accommodate changing requests, while compatibility issues jeopardized business interactions. There was a growing reliance on specialized resources with dedicated IT skills. Common problems included frequent crashes, performance issues, and bugs, along with significant challenges related to compatibility with modern software systems. **Solutions** Legacy systems today are predominantly facing similar challenges. Our first step was to establish a governance structure with clear, transparent processes. We conducted a thorough analysis of the current IT environment, the product, and the associated challenges. From our findings, we created a new architecture that fully supported existing data and business as usual (BAU) operations. Wherever possible, we aimed to leverage open-source solutions and existing modules to optimize timelines and costs. Our technology and implementation choices were assessed for maintainability, scalability, supportability, performance, and extensibility. Additionally, we implemented various tools such as JIRA, Confluence, TeamCity, and Sonar to automate the development lifecycle and enhance reporting capabilities whenever feasible.
