Our objective has been to assist Kompar in creating a platform that simplifies the comparison of business loans, making it as straightforward as comparing flight tickets. To achieve this, we identified specific sub-tasks, which included: In collaboration with Kompar, we have developed a platform that allows business owners to submit loan applications and receive offers from over 20 banks in seconds. Lenders can utilize automated underwriting via our API or some of the custom credit decision models we have created for them. The user experience is excellent, and conversion rates have seen a significant rise. Moreover, much of the back-end workload has been alleviated through the automation of administrative and regulatory processes. Our partnership with Kompar continues as the company aims to expand internationally and is continually working to enhance user experience. **Overview** Huggy Studio is a design agency located in Switzerland that assists companies in planning, developing, and launching cutting-edge web applications within a seamless 4 to 8 week timeline. Our client sought to expand their team, and we successfully recruited a highly skilled UI/UX designer with an impressive portfolio in under a month. **Task** The main challenge was finding an experienced designer with a remarkable past portfolio. Mediocre was not an acceptable standard for our client, and a striking design aesthetic was essential for this position. Previous experience with international projects was a significant advantage. **Action** Recognizing the urgency for Huggy Studio, we took an aggressive approach by reaching out to several hundred professionals within the first week instead of waiting for applications. In a short time, we gathered over 100 profiles and selected a small number to participate in a multi-stage recruitment process. **Result** The UI/UX designer we recruited turned out to be an ideal fit. We played a key role in developing their platform during its first three years, assisting the company in creating the initial platform version and credit management system, as well as evolving it into a scalable and innovative system for the future. **Version 1: The MVP** The creation of the credit management system's initial version involved carefully managing the amount of data to be collected from clients while allowing credit officers to manually input additional information. Advanced API integrations were not feasible since clients primarily focused on quickly accessing the cash their businesses required. The platform was originally developed using Ruby on Rails, with the scoring model implemented in Excel. **Version 2: The Scale-Up** The subsequent phase aimed to develop a model and system capable of handling thousands of financed invoices daily. To achieve this, additional expertise was introduced to the team, including a Senior Data Scientist from Risk Solution Network, which provides credit models for various Swiss banks. The development followed three main steps: 1) establishing a traffic light rating system to determine whether data could be processed automatically or needed manual review; 2) creating a segmentation framework to categorize clients into appropriate company segments; and 3) adapting a model tailored to different company segments. **Version 3: The Future** In addition to creating a scalable system, we began exploring cutting-edge technology to develop a model that would distinguish the company from its competitors. A strong foundation was established during the MVP phase, ensuring that a robust database containing diverse data points was built from the start.
