Lakeland, one of the UK's top kitchen and homeware retailers, operates nearly 70 stores across the country and has franchises in the Middle East. Customers typically upgrade their kitchen and homeware items infrequently, as replacements usually happen only when a product has reached the end of its useful life. For instance, after purchasing items like a Heated Airer or a cost-saving Air Fryer, customers can use them for years without needing regular replacements, especially since these products come with a three-year warranty. However, Lakeland offers a wide range of everyday essentials for cooking, baking, cleaning, and laundry that customers could purchase more frequently. To boost purchase frequency, Lakeland recognized the need to alter customer habits and encourage more visits to their stores or online platform. To facilitate this, they partnered with CHS to launch their new loyalty program, myLakeland. Members of myLakeland enjoy various benefits, including exclusive discounts, curated partner offers, and special competitions. Since its launch in the third quarter of 2019, the myLakeland loyalty program has attracted an impressive 1.5 million members.

How HSBC UK Inspired the Nation to Start Investing

As we entered 2022, a world transitioning from the pandemic, HSBC aimed to broaden investment opportunities for more individuals. With setting up and managing investment portfolios now simpler, the chance to connect with a larger audience presented an exciting challenge, aligning with HSBC UK's goal to enhance customer wealth through investments. While many recognize the benefits of investing, they often delay it, fearing it may be complicated, time-consuming, and costly. However, HSBC UK's investment portfolios are designed to be quick and easy to establish, making the initial step the biggest hurdle. We created a campaign that centered around those everyday moments when people might have some spare time—like waiting for laundry to finish or counting down until a baby falls asleep. These brief intervals perfectly illustrate the many chances available for starting an investing journey. Despite facing budget cuts midway through the campaign, we surpassed our sales target by 64%. Additionally, new platforms like TikTok and Chatbots exceeded their performance goals, bolstered by strong results from our established channels on display and Meta.
