Since 1984, CheckMark, Inc. has been committed to offering fast, user-friendly, and affordable accounting and payroll solutions for small and medium-sized businesses. The company was among the pioneers in developing accounting software for Mac, introducing General Ledger in 1985, CheckMark Payroll in 1986, and MultiLedger™ in 1987. A Windows version of CheckMark Payroll was launched in 1994, followed by MultiLedger™ for Windows in 1998. In 2010, the company expanded its offerings with CheckMark 1099 Software for both Windows and Macintosh platforms. To better address diverse customer needs, CheckMark established its services division in the summer of 2011, which includes customizable Payroll Services, Time Clock solutions, and an Online HR Access Center. The Payroll Services division has experienced rapid growth, providing a more personalized approach to payroll.
