Before being acquired by a global company in 2021, CDS Visual was a start-up dedicated to providing 3D visualization services aimed at helping industrial suppliers enhance their online presence. Following the acquisition, the management envisioned broadening their service offerings, enhancing their brand, and significantly boosting their visibility to attract new customers. The leadership team at CDS entrusted d.trio with realizing this vision by revitalizing their brand elements, creating a new website, and launching a lead generation campaign. A crucial part of this project involved gaining insights into the audience personas. The outcomes included the development of three clearly defined audience personas, creative strategies tailored to those personas, effective brand awareness initiatives, a substantial rise in traffic to the new CDS website, and a strong influx of new customer leads.

Inpro/Seal ecommerce promotion

Inpro/Seal

After launching their new eCommerce platform, Inpro/Seal aimed to increase registrations by educating users about its advantages. Transitioning from a traditional B2B sales model to an online platform presented challenges, but their dedicated and motivated transition team was ready to tackle them. d.trio was enlisted to support Inpro/Seal in encouraging customers to sign up for the Marketplace and in raising awareness of their brand through platform promotion. The initial audience characteristics provided by the client served as our starting point. Using AI tools, we gained insights into their demographics, behaviors, and work-related values, discovering that reliability was a key factor for customers when selecting a vendor for bearing protection solutions. In Phase 1 of our creative strategy, we crafted content that strengthened brand connections, emphasized shared goals, and introduced the eCommerce platform based on our initial findings. Our communication focused on creating an emotional bond with the brand by using relatable language that addressed the frustrations of malfunctioning machinery and the urgency of repairs. Additionally, we highlighted the unique features of the new eCommerce system. Visual elements featured recognizable people, settings, and equipment relevant to the audience. As we progressed, some of our initial insights were confirmed through site tagging data and a tailored contextual study, while others required minor adjustments. As a result, we refined the second wave of digital prospecting ads by framing the product as a way to enhance the buyer's reputation—an important personal value. This messaging resonated with both customers and prospects, leading to a significant increase in registrations and keeping our client’s team busy with setting up new customer accounts.

Schmitt Music Lake City Branding

Schmitt Music

Schmitt Music, a provider of musical instruments and accessories, aimed to develop a new brand and logo for a product line that caters to a broad audience across various instruments. They enlisted d.trio to establish a comprehensive master brand, complete with a brand story and positioning. The brand and logo needed to be adaptable enough for differentiation across instrument categories while suitable for a wide range of styles and sizes. The new Lake City brand features a bold and modern visual style, employing a mix of deep tones and bright accents to ensure a striking visual presence both in stores and beyond. The color palette, centered around a rich blue, draws inspiration from the natural hues of the lakes in Minneapolis. Subtle patterns inspired by topographic illustrations of these lakes add character and depth to the design. The brand voice emphasizes commitment to craftsmanship, passion for performance, and meticulous attention to detail. The newly designed logo will be utilized in retail advertising, packaging, and will also be engraved on the instruments.
