The Ad Council - Where Creativity and Causes Converge

The Ad Council is recognized for its campaigns that tackle critical national issues. Carbon Five assisted in redesigning their main website and expanding their refreshed brand online. We initiated a strategic phase centered on design and communication in collaboration with our partner, Wordland Design. Together, we established an adaptive design process where content and design evolved concurrently, crafting an engaging narrative throughout various customer pathways. CJM - Intersection of Culture, Art and Technology

The Contemporary Jewish Museum (CJM) had an outdated website that was not mobile-friendly, had unclear information architecture, and needed a visual makeover. Most importantly, the museum sought a website that captured its vibrant energy. Carbon Five developers initiated the project by assessing the latest available content management systems and opted for a Rails application combining open-source elements and custom code. While this modular platform was being developed, the design team collaborated with stakeholders to reorganize the content. This integrated team worked closely to create a mobile-first design system that features a fresh and sophisticated visual style. Ultimately, the talented CJM web team filled the new website with the newly structured content. The revamped site represents a skillful collaboration between an exceptional team and a remarkable organization. Good Eggs - Seamless Farm to Table Shopping

Good Eggs’ platform was experiencing a three-second rendering time on the front-end, which was disappointing customers. The team realized they needed to tackle site-wide performance problems to achieve their business goals. Our engineers collaborated with Good Eggs' tech team to implement various back-end optimizations. While we made several enhancements to Good Eggs’ platform, the most significant improvement came from new caching strategies that significantly reduced latency. On the design front, Good Eggs had numerous components in their system that began to impede development. We assisted the team in establishing and refining improved front-end guidelines to better manage markup and styles. By the end of our collaboration, Good Eggs’ site had become more user-friendly for browsing, searching, and shopping — just in time for the holiday season.
