Before they can place orders for materials or schedule crews, someone must manually input that entire estimate into Xactimate, a task that can take hours per claim and is prone to errors that diminish profits. CapOut eliminates this manual step entirely. By uploading a single PDF, CapOut extracts and organizes all line items from the insurance scope, transforming it into an ESX file that can be directly imported into Xactimate. Additionally, it provides a comprehensive profit analysis by trade based on the contractor's actual supplier prices and labor estimates. From the same upload, contractors also get material and labor orders categorized by trade and formatted for real supplier execution—ready for review, modification, and dispatch. The platform includes tools for editing scopes and features an AI Claim Assistant that highlights disputed items and helps identify gaps prior to supplementing. CapOut was founded by Matt Fruge, a contractor who operated Roofmark Construction for over 15 years in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and faced this bottleneck himself.
