ABOUT THE BUNKER
A historic facility sets the new modern standard
The Bunker boasts a notably intriguing history among data centers. Built in 1982 by Louis Kung, the nephew of Madam Chang Kai Shek, this enigmatic facility was allegedly intended as the headquarters for Westland Oil. The construction process was kept under wraps and secured by armed guards, leading most locals to be oblivious to the fact that Kung also constructed a 40,000 square foot nuclear bomb shelter adjacent to the office complex. Commonly referred to as “The Bunker” by locals, it was designed to accommodate Mr. Kung, his employees, and their families in case of a nuclear attack or a total societal collapse.
