Merging Supplier Products to Create an E-store

EASY-COMPUTERS-J2M

The objective of this project was to create an online store using WordPress for an electronics company specializing in laptops, computer hardware, and related products. The firm had several suppliers, presenting the challenge of consolidating their products into a single online platform. To optimize profits and facilitate product discovery for customers, items needed to be aligned by their EAN or names. The team employed a mix of WordPress plugins and bespoke development to tackle this task. They built a custom importer to retrieve product details from various suppliers and match them based on EAN or names. This importer was designed to efficiently process large volumes of data, allowing for the rapid importation of thousands of products. Additionally, the team created tailored product pages that included in-depth details such as specifications, images, and pricing. They also implemented a customized search feature enabling customers to find products based on various criteria like brand, price range, and features. To enhance user-friendliness and navigation, the team designed a custom mobile-optimized theme, along with several e-commerce functionalities, including a shopping cart, checkout process, and payment gateway integration. As a result, the company was able to present a significantly broader range of products to its customers, leading to increased sales and improved customer satisfaction, while also enhancing inventory management. Ultimately, the project was successful and highlighted the team's capability to develop a sophisticated and effective webshop using WordPress and custom development strategies.
