End-to-End Katana–DCL Integration for Unified E-Co

Our client, a prominent manufacturing company based in the U.S., needed to integrate their e-commerce and operations platforms—Shopify, Amazon, Katana MRP, and DCL Logistics (3PL provider)—without any disruptions. Their current automation tools, like Zapier, did not provide the sophisticated functions and detailed control necessary for managing complex workflows, real-time synchronization, and operational transparency.
**Objective:** The project aimed to consolidate order management, inventory synchronization, and fulfillment processes across various platforms. By merging Shopify and Amazon sales channels with Katana’s production and inventory management, and linking them to DCL’s fulfillment services, the company sought to achieve real-time accuracy, minimize manual tasks, and enhance operational efficiency.
**Solution Delivered:**
- **Custom Server-Side Integration:** We set up and implemented a dedicated server environment to ensure reliable and secure data exchange among all four platforms.
- **Full Lifecycle Automation:** Orders from Shopify or Amazon are automatically processed in Katana, where they undergo production and inventory checks before being sent to DCL for fulfillment.
- **Real-Time Inventory Sync:** Inventory levels are continuously updated between Katana and DCL, guaranteeing stock visibility across e-commerce platforms and the ERP system.
- **Process Streamlining:** Eliminating redundant manual tasks greatly decreased errors and sped up order processing.
- **Custom Dashboard:** A centralized dashboard was developed to provide a daily overview of the company's operations, including new orders, production status, inventory levels, shipment tracking, and fulfillment KPIs.
