Briggs IT Services began from a childhood passion for technology, sparked in 1981 when Jim Briggs attempted to repair his father's typewriter and evolved through years of hands-on experience and education. Despite early challenges, including distinguishing his strengths beyond programming and soldering, Jim honed his skills by assisting a mentor and undertaking various IT roles—from onsite repairs for Dell to support for major internet providers. Relocating to Houston reignited his connection with a mentor, deepening his expertise in system maintenance and remote work. In 2016, Jim founded Briggs IT Services to deliver responsive, customer-first IT solutions, emphasizing proactive maintenance to avoid downtime.
