BucketMatch
BucketMatch is a social marketplace designed to help individuals take action on their bucket list items rather than just discussing them. The founder approached Bricks with an innovative concept: a contemporary, community-focused web application enabling users to transform generic "someday" aspirations into concrete, shared experiences. Our task was to realize this vision by creating a fast, scalable MVP entirely on Bubble. We developed the complete product experience, including onboarding, profile and bucket list creation, goal exploration, and social features that connect users pursuing similar experiences, such as marathons and unique trips. Behind the scenes, we established a versatile data model, dynamic searching and filtering options, along with matching algorithms to pair individuals with aligned goals and timelines. We also introduced group planning features, allowing users to coordinate details like dates, locations, and budgets within the app instead of relying on fragmented conversations. Given that BucketMatch emphasizes driving actions, we prioritized user experience with clean mobile-first designs, clear call-to-action prompts, and subtle encouragements to help users progress from “idea” to “booked.” Admin tools equip the team with insights into growth, engagement, and trending bucket list themes, enabling rapid product iteration. On the technical front, we utilized Bubble’s no-code functionalities for swift deployment while still allowing for advanced features such as AI-driven ideas, tailored recommendations, and upcoming mobile applications. We connected various third-party tools for analytics, email, and automation to facilitate experiments, test new growth strategies, and understand actual user behavior without needing to rebuild the core application. The outcome is a refined, production-ready social platform that appears custom-built yet operates on a flexible, maintainable no-code infrastructure. BucketMatch now possesses a solid foundation to test, market, and scale without facing limitations due to engineering constraints.
