Otis Dental

There is a significant link between dental health, mental health, and our overall well-being. The founders of Otis collaborated with Brash to enhance their dental e-commerce venture by developing a wellness mobile app aimed at helping individuals lead healthier lives, alleviate the effects of Bruxism, and enhance their oral and self-care practices. Mobile App Offering a Calm and Focused Experience The app we created for Otis is designed to engage users without losing sight of its primary goal: assisting them in establishing healthy routines through exercises, rewards, and progress tracking. With a visually soothing backdrop, the UX planning and analysis involved careful consideration beyond mere functionality, integrating design psychology to motivate users to set and achieve care goals without feeling judged or overwhelmed by the app's numerous features. Inviting User Interface with a Gentle Design We crafted the UI with a deliberately soft design approach, incorporating muted colors, rounded buttons, and iconography that align with the overall aesthetic. Our designers paid close attention to the curves of the letters, spacing, and minimalistic lines to ensure the user remains focused on the app's intent: improving their health within a secure digital environment.

Velavu Hardware Development

Velavu Asset Tracking

The concept for Velavu, an award-winning startup, emerged when the founders identified a gap in the asset management and tracking sector. Seizing the opportunity, they teamed up with Brash to develop a solution that integrates and automates two forms of smart tracking within a single platform. Their goal for Velavu was to build a comprehensive system of both hardware and software that is user-friendly and exceptionally easy to navigate. In line with this vision, our engineers painstakingly designed the internal hardware with essential integrations to enable automated features, including NFC for quick setup, Bluetooth mesh, GPS, and LTE to provide extensive coverage in various tracking environments, as well as environmental sensors to monitor temperature and humidity around each tracking device. Our industrial design team created rugged enclosures for each device, which are IP67 waterproof and capable of enduring harsh conditions while maintaining a sleek appearance. The overall minimalist aesthetic, featuring gentle curves and subtle beveling on the device casings, highlights the theme of simplicity, setting Velavu apart in an industry where devices typically demand complex setup and maintenance.

Veba IoT Devices + Mobile App

Veba

As a technology innovator, the founder of Veba recognized the chance to develop a solution that enhances safety and convenience in infant care. This solution comprises a device and a mobile app that collaboratively monitor the quality of milk or formula in a baby bottle, alerting caregivers to any unsafe conditions. By combining integrated industrial design and engineering with our expertise in UI/UX design, software development, and branding, we successfully collaborated with our client to create Veba. Our engineering team began by designing the firmware and custom PCB necessary to support the device's smart features and ensure wireless connectivity. Integrated sensors enable the detection and tracking of significant events, such as bottle-feeding occurrences or unsafe temperature levels. Our algorithms then automatically adjust the safe timing and temperature settings displayed on the mobile app based on the type of milk, whether it was frozen and thawed, and any feeding that has taken place with that bottle. In terms of design, our product team chose a subtle aesthetic, minimizing distractions for the baby during feeding and aligning with the soothing nature of the Veba brand. The device is attached to a silicone band featuring a playful wave pattern that allows for communication through LED light indicators. The wave design also provides necessary stretch, accommodating different bottle sizes.
