A GPT-based AI Agent for FIBA 2023 World Cup

FIBA

FIBA, the international governing body for basketball, partnered with BotsCrew to create a chatbot for their mascot, JIP, the basketball robot. JIP was engineered to engage with fans in five languages simultaneously, offering up-to-date information about the FIBA World Cup. BotsCrew developed the chatbot to be powered by GPT, making it available via Facebook Messenger and Web Widget, and able to handle multiple inquiries while delivering appropriate responses. They also built the chatbot with scalability in mind for easy updates and maintenance. Integrated with FIBA's API, the chatbot provided real-time updates and could comprehend and reply to natural language questions. Within just two weeks of its launch, JIP had interacted with over 73,000 fans, showcasing impressive user satisfaction and engagement.

Virtual City Ambassador For Chicago

The tourism and hospitality sector faced severe challenges during the global pandemic as COVID restrictions fluctuated, leading to a cycle of city and country closures and reopenings. In 2021, Choose Chicago, the city's official destination marketing organization, recognized the need to adapt to this new, ever-changing landscape. Their goal was to increase visitor numbers to Chicago, encouraging travelers to engage with local cultural experiences beyond just the downtown area, and to provide them with timely information about the city’s reopening. To achieve this, they partnered with BotsCrew to develop an AI chatbot called The Bean. This virtual assistant helps answer tourists' inquiries, recommends new places and events, and acts as a representative of Chicago. The Bean can handle questions about different neighborhoods, dining options, attractions, breweries, events, celebrities, and more. It even engages in conversational exchanges, responding to playful queries like, “Do you like New York?” Overall, the chatbot covers 63 topics. Currently, it is accessible on Chicago's main tourism website, drawing in 500 users daily and achieving over 80% accuracy in responses, with a user satisfaction rate of 74.7%.

Virgin Holidays Chatbot for Travel Experience

Virgin Holidays, a British company part of Sir Richard Branson's Virgin Group, is recognized for its focus on customer satisfaction, aiming to provide clients with memorable vacation experiences. In January 2018, they launched the "Screw It, Let's Do It" campaign to promote January as an ideal time for seizing opportunities and embarking on adventures. They dramatically reduced the prices of over 200 activities in their holiday packages to just $1 — about the cost of a chocolate bar. However, customers needed to act quickly, as the sale was limited to Sunday, January 21st, and once it was over, the opportunity disappeared. To market their activities, Virgin Holidays utilized a highly interactive tool—a chatbot. Following its debut, the Cali bot proved to be incredibly successful with the audience, earning Virgin Holidays the Best Audience Engagement award at the 2018 UK Social Media Communications Awards for the "Screw It, Let's Do It" campaign.
