The Challenge: After Perceptyx acquired Waggl, an HR/Employee Listening platform already in the process of obtaining FedRAMP Moderate Authorization, Gary Everekyan found himself with a significant workload. As an experienced CISO familiar with the FedRAMP process, Gary started to assess the situation in depth. Perceptyx faced the daunting challenge of obtaining FedRAMP authorization, and with only a few months to make improvements, they were in a difficult situation. Typically, the FedRAMP authorization process takes around twelve months, but Perceptyx needed to completely rewrite their documentation, leverage engineering expertise, undergo another full 3PAO assessment, and assemble a competent team to ensure flawless execution. The Situation: The organization needed the right documentation, tools, technologies, and perhaps the most challenging aspect—a cohesive culture and maturity level. Although Perceptyx had many skilled individuals, the situation became critical since they were already in the FedRAMP process and the acquisition was being scrutinized during the FedRAMP PMO review, where significant weaknesses in the acquired company's FedRAMP package were identified.
