Supporting TrussellTrust Foodbanks

TRUSSELL TRUST

PROVIDING EMERGENCY FOOD TO 2 MILLION PEOPLE ANNUALLY The Trussell Trust is a charity that oversees the UK’s only comprehensive network of foodbanks. In 2022, over two million individuals utilized the services of Trussell Trust foodbanks. The organization operates more than 400 foodbanks and collaborates with over 28,000 care agencies, including social services, job centres, and schools. Traditionally, these agencies referred clients to the Trussell Trust by issuing a paper voucher, which could be exchanged at a foodbank for three days' worth of food. The agencies would complete the voucher with the client's information, and a foodbank volunteer would later enter this data manually into the Trussell Trust’s system. To gather more comprehensive statistics and support its advocacy efforts and the More Than Food program, the Trussell Trust aimed to improve client data collection. Since Bit Zesty was already managing Trussell Trust’s existing web application and had developed a strong working relationship with the charity, they sought our assistance.
