Launching a Resort Association - Silver Star

Destination Silver Star

The Silver Star Resort Association should not be mistaken for Silver Star Resort. While both organizations aim to promote tourism and activities in the area, they serve different purposes in the resort's marketing. In terms of Paid Media Strategy, we organized two workshops for the DSS team to help them shape their content and messaging, as well as their overall marketing strategy. We aided in recognizing the specific audiences they needed to target in order to broaden the resort's reach and support local business owners. Subsequently, we provided a market entry plan detailing how to introduce the new resort association to both the business sector and potential customers. For the execution phase, it was important to create an initial impactful presence followed by a series of promotional events throughout the summer. Beginning late in the winter season and continuing into spring, we launched the My Silver Star campaign, which showcased videos from various business owners discussing what makes Silver Star special to them. We encouraged people to sign up for a newsletter to keep them updated on resort promotions and news. Following this, we initiated a more consumer-oriented campaign that featured and promoted the two major summer events at the resort: the Wine Festival and the Beer Festival. This strategy allowed DSS to expand its reach and engage with the consumer market. With assistance from Binary & Co, Destination Silver Star found that users were more likely to interact with their content when it was presented in a listicle format, which led to four times more engagement and website visits. Extensive testing of different content types on Facebook indicated that static images were more effective at driving traffic to the website and encouraging users to explore multiple pages than videos.
