In collaboration with Pulsar Fusion, we assisted in the creation and testing of an environmentally friendly (non-toxic) hybrid rocket engine designed to launch small rockets into orbit. This rocket utilizes HDPE as its eco-friendly fuel, which is a type of commonly recycled plastic frequently found in household items like milk bottles. The engine is highly efficient, requiring minimal fuel, and it generates one of the smallest carbon footprints globally for its size.

Manhole Monitoring System

CNi Guard

Deteriorating power lines are a primary factor in manhole incidents in New York City, causing significant disruptions in the power supply. The repercussions can be severe, as electrified manholes and blown covers pose risks of injury or death. The manhole monitoring system that has been developed provides an early warning mechanism by constantly tracking events such as stray voltage, flooding, and gas leaks. This information is transmitted to a central hub, allowing maintenance teams to quickly address any issues. biild's risk mitigation strategy was essential for the product's effectiveness. Through ongoing development, prototyping, and testing cycles, we ensured that the device was designed to withstand the harsh conditions in which it would be employed. This enhanced reliability in the field, which was crucial for CNi Guard.

No Knock Cup

Mayborn Group - Tommee Tippee

Designing an appropriate cup lid for active toddlers is a significant challenge. It must reduce spills while also incorporating an enjoyable aspect to capture their attention. We brainstormed, sketched, visualized, and developed our concepts with fun at the forefront. While collaborating with the Tommee Tippee® team, we quickly recognized that using animal characters could add a whimsical touch to what is usually a standard product.
