Jaguar Land Rover InControl Remote app development
**Challenge**
Two years ago, Bamboo Apps contributed to the creation of the initial version of the Jaguar Land Rover InControl Remote applications. They were involved in the redesign project to provide technical and design expertise aimed at enhancing the user experience for car owners.
**Solution**
Focusing on design and usability, the InControl Remote apps were given a sophisticated new appearance. The applications were updated to align with contemporary design trends and meet user expectations for connected services. Teams from JLR and Bamboo Apps also restructured the app architecture, improving functionality and security.
**Architecture Rebuilding**
For both the iOS and Android versions, we implemented a native solution grounded in clean architecture principles, SOLID principles, a reactive approach, and CI/CD practices. This reduced dependencies between system layers, resulting in apps that are more stable, scalable, and easier to test.
**Design**
The InControl Remote application was redesigned to reflect new business logic based on use cases and user stories. The interfaces were reorganized and simplified. The incorporation of refined graphics, smooth animations, and streamlined navigation enhanced the application’s user experience, making it more intuitive and the user interface more engaging.
**Enterprise Mobile Development**
The native iOS and Android versions of InControl Remote 2.0 were delivered with guarantees of compatibility across various mobile devices. Additionally, our developers migrated the Android version to Kotlin, establishing a robust foundation for future functionality updates. The reactive development approach also facilitated the use of consistent app layouts and design elements on both iOS and Android platforms.
