We collaborated with Rolls-Royce to create a new mobile application, enhancing its features and streamlining processes. The challenge was to allow nuclear engineers to oversee systems from any location. Although Rolls Royce had a Safety Data Sheet (SDS) website that delivered real-time data from power plant sensors, it was only accessible to those present in the control room. To address this, we assigned a five-person software development team to Rolls Royce. To accelerate the launch, we developed a Progressive Web Application (PWA) as a Minimum Viable Product (MVP), enabling us to leverage the web app's existing code for the mobile version. As a result, Rolls Royce's platform now digitalizes sensor data from power plants. Previously, real-time data could only be viewed on-site, but the mobile app extends the MSDS system’s functionality, making it accessible from anywhere. The app retrieves real-time data from sensors across Rolls-Royce's clients' power plants and includes features such as: - Real-time monitoring of multiple power plants within a single app - Customizable alerts/alarms tailored to specific local conditions and variations - Analysis of current, historical, and trend data - Remote access secured with advanced cybersecurity measures.

The Challenge: Google required external QA testing for its Android operating system and YouTube.
