DRP Group and MS Amlin's Intranet

DRP Group

The Overview With the increasing trend of remote work, companies are looking for innovative ways to connect with their employees online to sustain and enhance their corporate culture. The DRP Group needed external software development expertise that was not available internally to create an intranet site for their client, MS Amlin. The client aimed to refresh their current intranet by giving it a modern appearance and improved functionality, which included: multilingual content, accessibility across various devices, compliance with stringent regulatory standards, and adherence to internal security protocols. B13 Technology’s Approach We provided a tailored and fully branded intranet solution utilizing Microsoft's SharePoint framework. After partially integrating their on-premise Active Directory with Azure AD and Office 365, we introduced a new SharePoint Online solution that aligned with the existing security infrastructure. Collaborating with the DRP Group, we designed engaging, personalized visuals to create a unique look and feel that reflects the company's essence and values for remote employees. This process included customizing standard SharePoint themes and developing new web parts with administrative interfaces to create a highly personalized SharePoint environment. Business Benefits The new intranet site has equipped the client with an interface that meets their global multilingual needs. It also allows their communications team to adapt the site's content and structure over time, making it easier and more flexible to evolve alongside their changing business requirements. For the client's employees, the updated platform offers support for multiple devices in a user-friendly environment, enabling interaction with content in ways similar to popular social media functions, all while providing the company with moderation tools to ensure compliance with strict regulatory and corporate guidelines.
