England Netball is a leading, financially stable National Governing Body dedicated to promoting Netball for Life and cultivating elite athletes. In 2015, the success of the England Roses at the World Cup led to a significant increase in participation, resulting in higher attendance at netball sessions nationwide. Acknowledging that their manual tracking system had become inadequate, England Netball identified the need for a user-friendly recording system to accurately analyze and report participation data and guide a long-term growth strategy. To address this challenge, we conducted an extensive discovery session with stakeholders to understand the structure of their programs and the functioning of their existing systems. This informed the development of an intelligent web solution designed to manage the complexity of various programs, address key challenges related to data recording, and enhance data accuracy. The solution developed was an online system that enabled program managers to efficiently update attendance records. This standardized data can easily be compared with national and regional growth targets established in collaboration with Sport England. Further enhancements were made to support additional programs and introduce new features. A crucial priority for England Netball was to enhance the visibility of their programs’ financial performance. The newly accessible financial data supports decision-making regarding the feasibility of individual programs and provides immediate, reliable information to guide commercial choices. Ultimately, the customized system generates data that demonstrates the impact of England Netball's initiatives. This information has been instrumental in securing essential ongoing funding to ensure that the sport continues to positively influence the lives and well-being of women and girls throughout the country.

Moving from manual to automated scheduling

Fearless Futures collaborates with bold organizations eager to implement changes in their organizational ecosystems. The issue they faced was that as the demand for their services increased, the manual scheduling of workshops and freelancer management became less effective. Fearless Futures recognized the need to transition from cumbersome manual processes and lengthy email exchanges to a dependable, automated solution. The breakthrough came when we worked with Fearless Futures to realize that their entire scheduling system could be optimized through our digital technology. Moving forward, the Fearless Futures Scheduler is an advanced web platform designed to simplify the scheduling process, offering visibility and clarity at every step—from booking workshops to invoicing after sessions. To enhance usability, we created a workshop setup wizard that streamlines the creation process. Facilitators are assigned using an auto-suggestion feature based on availability and requirements, with all notifications and responses managed within the platform. There is also an option for manual scheduling, giving Fearless Futures the flexibility to override automation when necessary. The platform seamlessly integrates with Zoom for video conferencing and Xero for accounting, further increasing its utility. As a result, Fearless Futures demonstrated insight by embracing automated technology, and we assisted them in bringing this vision to life. The Fearless Scheduler has become a crucial tool in addressing inequities and transforming the organizational landscapes within some of the largest corporations globally.

We have just launched a new product for a startup called OurCrew, which is designed to streamline crew management for events. This tool handles meal assignments, health and safety protocols, and access control. Users can import crew members into the FeedTheCrew system and create meal options for them. Pre-event reports can be generated and sent to the catering team to inform them of the necessary preparations. Each crew member is assigned a unique scannable code for identification at the event. On-site, catering staff can verify meal eligibility using a QR code scanner. After the event concludes, you can export usage data to assess food wastage and more. This was a rapid project, but it turned out to be very successful, as we implemented it at a major event for the BBC.
