This includes coordinating schedules, managing location logistics, and handling time zone differences. As a result, organizing group meetings becomes a tedious task, requiring resources to deal with complications that ultimately waste time, reduce productivity, and create frustration. When trying to set up meetings with multiple attendees, particularly across various time zones, businesses encounter challenges such as these. Such inefficiencies disrupt workflows and can hinder decision-making and project progression, resulting in lost business opportunities. **The Solution** Supercal was developed as a more efficient method for managing the often tedious process of group scheduling. Instead of using traditional manual approaches, where participants send numerous emails to coordinate, Supercal leverages artificial intelligence to fully automate the process. At its core is an AI assistant named Alex, who adeptly schedules meetings by analyzing the calendars, availability, and preferences of participants. By evaluating the schedules of everyone involved, Supercal identifies the best meeting time with minimal user input. **The Challenge** Preparing for hackathons highlighted several significant issues: our members lacked an interactive platform to brainstorm or develop ideas ahead of the event; submissions varied greatly in quality and detail; there was no mechanism for providing feedback, expressions of support, or discussions; teams typically formed on the day of the hackathon, hindering collaboration across departments; and both developers and designers were already at capacity, making a traditional build unfeasible. **The Approach** To accelerate the process, our product managers opted for Lovable. This decision allowed us to create and launch the Juniper Idea Bank without needing to involve developers or designers. We commenced with a brief design sprint using FigJam to outline roles, requirements, and workflows. Techniques such as Crazy 8s and user journey mapping facilitated our prioritization of key elements before construction. **Key Features** The Juniper Idea Bank featured: - Organized submissions with fields for title, description, problem, solution, and anticipated impact - An idea feed with filters, sorting options, and tags for easy navigation - A system for feedback and discussion through threaded comments, replies, likes, and upvotes - Gamification elements like leaderboards, achievements, and awards - A wiki module for sharing knowledge, including internal frameworks and best practices - Role-based access for members, admins, and leadership - Notifications to keep members engaged **The Results** The Juniper Idea Bank quickly evolved beyond just a tool for pre-hackathon planning.
