3D Configurator for Packaging in WooCommerce

LPrint

Lprint, a contemporary printing firm specializing in eco-friendly custom packaging, sought to enhance its online ordering system by introducing an interactive product configurator. This feature allowed customers to choose packaging types, sizes, materials, finishes, and upload custom graphics while providing real-time 3D visualization. The challenge was to create a tool that facilitated precise customization with live 3D previews, automatic graphic verification, and smooth integration with their WooCommerce platform. The solution involved AR-range developing an easy-to-use 3D configurator on Sketchfab, which offered detailed product views with realistic textures, including metallic foils, transparent films, and compostable papers, all modeled after Lprint's samples. The configurator assists users in selecting packaging specifications and materials, uploading artwork that is automatically checked for print quality via Enfocus. Complex layered PDF textures were accurately applied to the 3D models. Users can save, share, and complete orders through WooCommerce. Additionally, the configurator features WebAR, allowing customers to visualize the packaging in real-world settings on their mobile devices, which enhances engagement and confidence. The outcomes included improved customer service efficiency, reduced graphic errors due to Enfocus integration, an enriched shopping experience with 3D and AR previews, and a distinct competitive edge for Lprint through advanced customization tools. AR-Range’s solution modernized Lprint’s sales process, resulting in greater accuracy, efficiency, and a captivating user experience in line with sustainable packaging principles.

We have also set up an efficient payment system that includes credit card pre-authorization, refunds, and invoicing tailored to the project's requirements.
