Major jewelry brand bets in E-Commerce with AppX

Woos Pure Feelings

About the project: Woo’s Pure Feelings is a high-end jewelry brand from Portugal that creates one-of-a-kind pieces filled with emotion, using premium 925 Sterling Silver, Rhodium, and Stainless Steel. Known for its stunning designs, which include medals, necklaces, earrings, and more, Woo’s is committed to maintaining exceptional quality through advanced technology and superior finishes. With a robust network of hundreds of distributors and four retail locations in Lisbon and Cascais, the brand aims to expand its reach. As part of embracing the digital landscape, Woo’s Pure Feelings decided to establish an online presence, leading them to partner with AppX. Challenge: The primary technological hurdle for Woo’s Pure Feelings' online platform was the creation of a customization feature, enabling customers to design their own jewelry, which is central to the brand's essence. This involved developing an intuitive interface that allows for detailed customizations while ensuring a smooth user experience. Furthermore, the backend required support for complex logistics associated with custom orders, facilitating accurate processing, production, and delivery, while seamlessly integrating with the existing inventory system. Solution: AppX meticulously designed an advanced e-commerce solution specifically for Woo’s Pure Feelings, leveraging the powerful WooCommerce platform. The online store enables customers to explore a wide range of products, engage with the brand's concept, and purchase their favorite pieces directly. The design prioritizes providing a unique “experience” for customers, emphasizing ease of interaction and a deep connection to the brand. Impact: After implementing all components of the solution, Woo’s Pure Feelings saw a marked increase in online sales, both in order volume and total revenue.

Powerful multiplatform solution to manage an event

ISCTE-IUL

### Project Overview IULCOME is an annual event organized by ISCTE – University Institute of Lisbon to welcome new students and help them acclimate to university life. This event is crucial for fostering connections among students through various activities and games, creating a sense of community. To support this initiative, ISCTE collaborated with AppX to create digital solutions that enhance the experience. Over three editions, AppX has progressively improved these solutions. ### Challenge Understanding the event's potential and the logistical hurdles, AppX was tasked with developing a multi-platform solution for IULCOME. This system needed to incorporate numerous modules to facilitate direct interaction between participants and organizers. A major challenge was forming complete teams from different courses using only real-time data, as attendance was not guaranteed prior to the event. ### Solution The solution created for the IULCOME event is a comprehensive multi-platform system that effectively manages logistics and boosts participant engagement. Key features include efficient team formation during check-in and attendance tracking through card scans. Participants can also order lunches and interact with the event via a detailed gamified mobile app. Features such as live score updates further enhance the user experience and integrate smoothly with the existing signage at the institution. ### Impact The system designed by AppX significantly improved the client’s event management efficiency, streamlining processes and enhancing participant engagement through innovative functionalities. By offering a flexible and responsive platform, AppX empowered the client to manage the complexities of their large-scale event seamlessly, from team formations to real-time interactions.

Inlife: a digital approach to house renting

Inlife Portugal

**Project Overview** Inlife is pioneering a fresh approach to rental housing for students and professionals in Portugal, Spain, and Italy. They recognize that current options, which rely heavily on photos, videos, and vague descriptions, often fail to meet customer expectations, leading to uncertain decisions that may result in dissatisfaction. To enhance their model, Inlife requires a tailored digital solution, prompting them to reach out to AppX. **Challenge** The client implemented a digital-first strategy to engage customers via digital platforms. Inlife launched two groundbreaking services: Housing Trip, which offers virtual tours of apartments, and My Inlife Advisor, which delivers personalized housing advice through a dedicated assistant. AppX was assigned the task of creating a modern, user-friendly platform to facilitate these services. **Solution** The solution consisted of developing two applications: a web app for end users searching for housing and a back-office system for the Inlife team to oversee the rental process. As a fully digital product, all interactions and procedures occur through the platform, including scheduling visits, modifying appointments, notifying landlords, and handling online payments. The platform also supports comprehensive workflows for the rental process, encompassing online payments, lease management, tenant verification, status tracking, and over 50 types of email notifications. **Impact** Launched in 2019, Inlife has amassed thousands of users globally by 2024, assisting many in finding housing in Portugal. The company is optimistic about how digitalization has spurred its growth, increased accessibility, and addressed a market need by providing a service that offers users more confidence and awareness regarding their rental choices.
