### The Main Challenge We encountered three distinct cases. The first involved upgrading the existing automated system from the ground up, enabling management of product pricing, availability, and selection of the most profitable suppliers. The second case focused on a monitoring system that empowers our customers to oversee the software's workload and manage all aspects of business processes internally with detailed insights. The third case required a comprehensive maintenance and refinement of algorithms to avoid system errors and failures stemming from outdated code, thereby extending the software's lifespan. ### Our Approach For the initial case, we developed a system that automates pricing and calculates product prices based on external economic factors and supplier offers. Additionally, we introduced an automatic system that determines the most advantageous product offer for consumers based on their specified price points, supplier prices, delivery times, and other buyer criteria. In the second case, we designed a system not only for tracking failures and errors due to algorithm malfunctions but also developed a flexible method for monitoring current order and delivery statuses, facilitating timely management and accurate customer service. Moreover, we implemented a notification system to address emergencies swiftly. Our solution involved a complete overhaul and replacement of old functionalities with new ones in the existing software, enhancing its scalability. By automating pricing and updating product availability in real-time, online store consumers gain a clear and accurate view of the products. Through the monitoring system of critical software indicators and scalability adjustments, we established control over the chain of online stores. ### Technologies

The primary challenge for SaaS financial management products lies in the need for: a) performance - as many clients require everything to be done "urgently" for their "financial processes"; b) accuracy - any numerical mistake can undermine trust in the financial tool; c) user-friendliness - incorporating additional reports and features based on common client inquiries. The first issue that hindered our client from advancing and marketing their product was the system's speed, the rapid generation of tables, and the incorrect functioning of certain software features. The second issue involved fully localizing the client’s software in Ukrainian and English to support business expansion and regulatory compliance. The third concern was the establishment of a monitoring system to detect system errors and failures, enabling quick responses and resolutions to avoid significant financial losses. The fourth issue was the implementation of a CMS for self-editing and managing the landing page. To address the first challenge, we restructured specific components of the system, reducing the time to create cash flow sheets from over two minutes to less than 10 seconds. Simultaneously, we launched a proactive key software resource monitoring system and optimized the existing functionality on the Amazon server, leading to a notable decrease in hosting expenses. As a result of our team's efforts in software optimization and the installation of a straightforward yet effective CMS, we empowered our client to develop, update, and enhance their landing page independently, without needing external assistance. Consequently, our client has greatly improved their lifetime value, lowered hosting costs, and enhanced software stability. Furthermore, by translating the product into other languages, we enabled them to market their offering in international markets. With the new monitoring system in place, the client can now maintain their software’s functionality consistently.

We encountered three interconnected tasks. First, our client presented pre-existing software functionality that was developed but lacked structure. This required us to describe and enhance its architecture. The second task involved migrating the client’s software to the cloud to provide economic benefits. The third was to implement scalability features, improving the reliability of the deployed software and facilitating updates. Since the software was not initially developed by our team, the biggest challenge in the first task was grasping how it operated in order to make necessary modifications and optimizations. However, through reverse engineering, we were able to extract critical information about the software's architecture. By applying the CI/CD methodology, we quickly delivered a demo version of the software to the client, allowing them to see the changes and enabling their development team to address tasks efficiently and promptly. Consequently, we established an appropriate cloud infrastructure for the project. We structured and refined the service functionalities to ensure their seamless collaboration within the system while minimizing errors and failures, effectively addressing our initial challenge. The cloud deployment granted us a flexible and cost-effective infrastructure, which was more economical than having the client purchase excess computing resources. We ensured service stability and redundancy, leading to improved cloud computing efficiency and resource scalability based on demand. Ultimately, our cloud migration solution provided a reliable production infrastructure while saving time and costs.
