B2B webshop for carpenters

In 2012, OPO made the decision to discontinue its CMS-based eCommerce system and create a new B2B Omnichannel solution from the ground up using the SAP Commerce (Hybris) platform. We crafted the architecture based on the requirements collected during the project's initial phase. After two years of dedicated effort, the new OPO Oeschger eCommerce platform was launched, and we have been continuously striving to enhance and maintain it in various areas since then. Currently, the company's product catalog features over 60,000 items, and the system processes more than 1,000 orders each day. The strong commitment from Antologic and its developers has greatly contributed to OPO Oeschger's digital transformation. Summarizing the team structure is challenging, as it has evolved over eight years and has always been customized to match the project's status. We have supplied OPO Oeschger with a range of specialists, including architects, backend Hybris and frontend developers, quality assurance engineers, scrum masters, and project managers. The focus on different roles varied by phase; for instance, during the development phase, the team comprised five SAP Commerce (Hybris) developers, whereas only two developers were needed during maintenance.

As a leading telecommunications provider in Switzerland, having smooth B2B and B2C integration is crucial. Initially, the solution involved an internet platform designed for their B2B clients. Our quality assurance team was based in India, while the AEM developers came from Antologic. We also had a project manager from a different company, making our team quite diverse. The AEM developers at Antologic led the technical aspects of the project. They created a proof of concept and architectural design, which allowed them to develop the necessary code. Working within the AEM framework, they imported and modified components from the client while preserving the original content. Most importantly, they fulfilled the requirements and provided maximum flexibility. By proactively identifying potential issues and crafting solutions from the outset, the project was successfully implemented and delivered on schedule.

Ecommerce solution rolled out across Europe

The European e-commerce platform of a prominent camera and opto-electronics manufacturer was developed using the SAP Hybris framework. Our development team was involved right from the start of the implementation phase. We adopted a comprehensive agile methodology, allowing us to showcase some basic functional elements after the initial sprint. For the client, who had been eagerly awaiting the start of development, this approach was transformative. The first online store launched after a year and a half, and the solution was progressively expanded to additional countries. Ultimately, 18 local B2B online shops were established throughout Europe. This has been a highly successful agile project, functioning as an online sales platform for nine years, which is rare for online initiatives to endure without substantial reimplementation or redesign.
