Challenge: Certa aimed to maintain a uniform interface and effective functionality for its enterprise clients. The application was at the beginning of its development cycle and involved complex, undocumented real-time scenarios. Objective: To implement automated regression testing and establish best practices for a stable testing environment, ensuring quality and consistency throughout the development stages, despite the absence of a preliminary QA process. Approach: We conducted exploratory testing and developed an agile QA strategy featuring a checklist for quality assurance. We performed regression and API testing, maintained quality across different environments, and assigned dedicated QA resources for client projects. Outcome: Certa experienced a 60-70% reduction in bugs and achieved consistent, bug-free releases. A clearly defined automation process ensured rapid regression testing and 100% bug-free deliveries for each sprint. Situation: Astute required a quality assurance (QA) process for their live application, which operated under a rigorous agile development timeline. It was essential to ensure scalability and compatibility with third-party APIs. Task: The goal was to establish a strong QA process to maintain the platform's stability and compatibility, while also addressing critical issues and creating a scalable solution for future updates. Action: We adopted Qualitest’s automation model and overhauled the testing framework. We performed exploratory testing, created a regression test suite, and incorporated continuous testing with Jenkins. Result: We achieved a 90% reduction in test execution efforts, improved test planning and resource allocation, expanded the collection of automated test scripts, and decreased the bug rate.
