Enterprise Data Hub: Development and Integration

UKRSIBBANK

Challenge: Development of a multifunctional center for the aggregation, processing, and presentation of data, alongside secure real-time data exchange for enterprises. Solution: The architecture includes several functional components: Data Broker (Kafka) – facilitates real-time data exchange; Big Data Platform (Hortonworks / Cloudera Hadoop Data Platform, Hadoop Data Float) – serves as a storage solution for all data received via the data broker; Logical Data Warehouse (Tibco Data Virtualization) – provides a logical data warehouse that allows business users to access and manage data. It also supports quick data access for online tracking of the entire technical process (from data collection to utilization) and supplies data for technical oversight. Data Governance – encompasses data management, including aspects of data quality and security. Result: A scalable architecture based on Apache Kafka that enables real-time data exchange around the clock. It processes approximately 2-3 million events daily, with a capacity of up to 200 events per second. Enhanced data governance focusing on data quality and security has also been achieved.

Data HUB Analytical Platform

**Challenge:** - Establish a unified system for managing big data and developing strategies for handling company information. - Monitor and quickly address any technical issues that arise during service delivery. - Identify problematic nodes based on incoming data and patterns detected when distributing content from CDN streaming systems to end users, along with analyzing the CDN balancing system in real-time. - Ensure complete online data downloading and processing. - Analyze user behavior using device data and media consumption by service clients (Clickstream analytics). - Produce analytics data for marketing tools and management solutions. **Setting up the Data HUB Analytical Platform Solution:** The project involves the development, installation, and configuration of the Data HUB hardware and software system, which is designed to conduct in-depth research on the data collected throughout the lifecycle of the Company’s subscribers. This will culminate in creating analytical reports, forecasting demand, and optimizing supply to facilitate new product development. **The requirements of business users and the technical support team:** The outcome of the project resulted in an integrated system for data collection and log processing from various systems, automated the generation of analytical reports on user behavior and preferences, and enabled simple, clear, and secure data sharing with both internal and external applications. **Results:** - Oversight and reporting on the technical status of the content delivery network. - Visualization and personalized access to consolidated data for management and analytics. - Monitoring, analysis, and prediction of customer behavior. - Development of a recommendation system for end users.

**Challenge:** Ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for business applications operating within a multi-service environment and a complex IT landscape through automated performance monitoring, detailed analytics, and optimization of IT infrastructure. **Solution:** We implemented a comprehensive solution powered by AppDynamics that enabled real-time, end-to-end monitoring of both application performance and IT infrastructure status. This solution utilized analytics to proactively identify and address critical business issues, including: dynamically establishing baseline metrics for the number and speed of transactions at each execution stage; automatically detecting business transactions and capturing snapshots of any transactions exhibiting abnormal behavior; triggering alerts when transactions are interrupted between steps; performing detailed diagnostics at the code/SQL level to uncover root causes in various environments such as Web and Java; identifying scalability issues and performance degradation; uncovering the root causes of “bugs” and “lags” before application deployment; analyzing data from multiple sources (including applications, databases, and customer experiences) and automatically mapping their interrelations; and providing end-to-end visualization of application architecture and service dependencies in both real-time and historical contexts. **Result:** Attained comprehensive monitoring of services and business transactions alongside real-time analytics, visualized data for all application KPIs, established a single source of truth (SSOT), and integrated Application Performance Management (APM) and End User Monitoring (EUM) modules for proactive anomaly detection and user error prevention.
