E-learning System for 1,600+ Child Care Centers
The Client: This organization is a top U.S. provider of management software for Head Start programs. Established in 1985, it has assisted over 1,600 child care centers in securing grants for disadvantaged children from low-income families. The Objective: To obtain these grants, child care centers must adhere to various legislative standards. To help with compliance, the company developed a platform to enable institutions to report to local, state, and federal offices. However, the platform became overly complex, with 89 modules that users found difficult to navigate. Additionally, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the company was unable to provide onsite training. The existing mobile version was built on an outdated Windows Forms framework, leading to performance issues and an unsatisfactory experience on modern smartphones. Leveraging Altoros' front-end development expertise, the organization sought to create an e-learning solution for training on the platform while enhancing the performance of the mobile version. The Result: By collaborating with Altoros, the company developed an e-learning system for its Head Start management platform, ensuring continuous user engagement during the pandemic and reducing customer turnover. Following Agile principles, they were able to roll out new features every 2-3 weeks. Moreover, the client managed to decrease server response times by 20 times. By transitioning to a modern Angular-based technology stack, the company improved the mobile version's performance while adopting a mobile-first design approach to ensure a smooth user experience across various mobile operating systems and devices. Technology stack: Programming language - TypeScript; Frameworks and tools - Angular, RxJS, NgRx, DevExtreme. For further information, please contact us at development@altoroslabs.com.
