HOW WE SUPPORTED A LEADING LOGISTICS CLIENT The project encompasses four key components on the technical side: 1. A robust back-end hosting the business logic. 2. A web application for real-time monitoring of warehouse conditions, product availability, inventory levels, and more. 3. A mobile terminal running on an Android system, serving as a daily tool for warehouse staff, enabling efficient warehouse management with minimal paperwork, utilizing a scanner for transactions. 4. **Client Needs** The client had existing Kubernetes clusters with microservices but required assistance in implementing and managing a centralized cluster management tool. Altimi helped the client refine their DevOps processes by developing automation workflows and integrating new tools across development, testing, deployment, and application maintenance. **Solution** The platform was deployed in the Azure public cloud utilizing services like Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Application Gateway, and the Web Application Firewall (WAF). The deployment in Azure followed the Infrastructure as Code (IaC) approach using Terraform. Scalable tools were based on Kubernetes and Azure mechanisms. Altimi’s DevOps experts leveraged GitOps principles to manage the AKS cluster, employing ArgoCD—a tool that configures Kubernetes clusters from the repository.
