Whole Home Wi-Fi

BT Whole Home Wi-Fi eliminates 'dead spots' by delivering faster and more reliable Wi-Fi coverage throughout the home. This system features three discs that create a smart Wi-Fi network, allowing users to seamlessly connect to the strongest and fastest signal as they move from room to room. Alloy designed the customer experience across all major touchpoints to create a unified premium offering, encompassing packaging, hardware, and app design. Our user-focused approach helped identify and resolve potential issues with a multi-device Wi-Fi system and emphasized the app as a crucial component. For instance, the app assists users with the setup process to ensure optimal placement of the discs for maximum coverage. Building on the success of the first generation of Whole Home devices, BT and Alloy have introduced Premium Whole Home Wi-Fi, which incorporates advanced tri-band technology for even faster and stronger Wi-Fi throughout your home, all wrapped in a sleek design that complements any interior.

Hive - Connected Home

Unknown

Hive, a division of Centrica plc that includes brands like British Gas in the UK and Direct Energy in the USA, has chosen Alloy as its long-term partner for industrial design to stand out in the Smart Home (IOT) market. The primary task was to develop an engaging visual design language and a premium color, material, and finish (CMF) that sets Hive products apart from the standard flat white plastic designs available, while also ensuring they can seamlessly and discreetly fit into home environments. The resulting cohesive identity offers a versatile design framework for creating consistent touchpoints and elements across products, facilitating the future growth of the Hive ecosystem within this identity and allowing the brand to expand into new markets and regions, all while aligning with the company’s core values.

Projector Concept Project

Orbit

Concerned about the amount of time your kids spend on their devices? Introducing Orbit, our conceptual project aimed at tackling this common issue. The concept is straightforward: place your smartphone on the unit to activate it. With its four ultra-short projectors, it creates a 360° interactive touch interface on any surface. This transforms any smartphone into a hub for family entertainment and education, no matter where you are. Check out the full project on our new Behance profile: https://lnkd.in/gKqVNxc.
